This helicopter was built on December 7, 1989, and registered to the Nationale Volksarmee as NVA-387 and operated by Kampfhubschraubergeschwader 5 (KHG 5) from January 12, 1990, till April 1, 1991.

Re-registered to the German Bundeswehr to 96+43 and operated by Heeresfliegerstaffel 80 (HFlgStff 80) from April 1, 1991, till September 14, 1994, as SOC and PWFU.

Transported for display in the Luftwaffen Museum der Bundeswehr on November 10, 1995.

This museum had a change of name to the Militaer Historisches Museum (MHM) Berlin Gatow on October 1st, 2011.

It was replaced in Gatow as noted during September 2015.

This was transported by road from Berlin-Gatow to Rechlin on March 28, 2019, on loan from the Militaer Historisches Museum to the Luftfahrttechnisches Museum Rechlin e.V..
