This helicopter belongs to the license series Weserflug V43. As one of the early helicopters to its design it still had wooden blades and was regd. to the Bundeswehr as 8308 from September 1957.

Operated as PA+203 by the Hfs 822 from October 1957 till March 1959.

Operated as QF+462 by the Hfts 303 from March 1959 till November 1959.

Operated as PX+337 by the Hfb 300 from November 1959 till ?

Re regd. to 8308 and operated by the Hfr 35 from ? till 1972 as SOC and PWFU.

This helicopter was moved to Uetersen/ Heist (EDHE) in Schleswig Holstein, located on the military airfield about 30kms west of Hamburg were it was preserved with the Luftwaffen Museum since ?
This museum was founded in 1956 on a private basis with the first aircraft arriving the sixties. In the early 1970's two hangars at Uetersen were provided to the museum. This museum was also a part of the Bundeswehr and has been set under the command of the Milit?rgeschichtliches Forschungsamt (MGFA) at Freiburg from 1987.

The helicopter has been moved from Appen in Schleswig Holstein to the Luftwaffen Museum der Bundeswehr since 1995 were German Air Force opened a new museum on the former RAF base in former West Berlin Gatow.

This museum had a change of name to the Milit?r Historisches Museum (MHM) Berlin Gatow since the 1st of October 2011.

This had been newly preserved and put onto display inside hangar 7 since February 2013.
