This helicopter had made its first flight on February 9, 1982, and was registered to the Army Air Corps as XZ676 till it was SOC in 2010.

Noted stored outside for RTP without rotor at Middle Wallop in August 2010. Still there during February 2011.

Noted outside the GDSH hangar as to be sold for scrap in March 2011. Still there in January 2013.

Stored as SOC and PWFU, parted out for spares and transported to Air & Ground Ltd at Hixon for auction and noted there first in October 2013.

The tail section of Westland Lynx XZ676 was sold and subsequently attached to a different Lynx cabin, while eight other Lynx frames were placed in storage at Ream Hills Farm, located in Weeton near Blackpool, as of April and July 2014.

By November 2014, Blackpool Design Coach builders began a unique renovation project on one of these airframes. This particular fuselage was professionally converted in February 2015 into a bespoke one-bedroom hotel unit, offering a rare aviation-themed accommodation experience.

The helicopter's original interior was completely removed and replaced with a stylish open-plan living space. The layout features a cozy sleeping area within the narrow fuselage, comfortably fitting two adults, along with a pull-out sofa bed suitable for up to two children. The compact kitchen area is equipped with a microwave and sink, while outdoor decking with furniture adds to the appeal. Guests use shared toilet and shower facilities, located just a short walk from the accommodation.

As of August 2015, booking prices through various agencies started at GBP 259.20, while direct bookings with the owner were available from GBP 100.00 per night.
